What's it like to work with me
If you’ve never worked with a travel advisor before, you’re in for a treat

If you’ve never worked with a travel advisor before, you’re in for a treat—and probably a big sigh of relief. Think of me as your travel matchmaker, logistics guru, and personal concierge all rolled into one. Here’s a quick rundown of how it works and what to expect:

First things first—what’s the catch?
There really isn’t one. For hotel-only bookings, most travel advisors (myself included) don’t charge a fee. Just like sites such as Expedia or Booking.com, we earn a commission from the hotel after your stay. But here’s the kicker—you get access to exclusive perks like daily breakfast for two, room upgrades (when available), resort credits, and VIP treatment that you wouldn’t get booking on your own. And no, it doesn’t cost you more.

Pro Tip: Never book a multi-day stay at a resort or a cruise directly on their website as you miss out on potential upgrades and perks. Always check with a travel advisor (me!) to see what additional benefits you could score!

If you're considering multiple destinations or want several hotel options in one place, a small research fee may apply to cover time and insight, which I’ll always discuss with you ahead of time.

For more involved travel (think multi-stop trips, private tours, trains, transfers, and spa appointments), we work together under a planning package based on your needs and how involved you’d like me to be. My fees typically range from $275 to $450+ depending on the scope.

Here’s how the process flows:

  1. Intake Form
We’ll start with a quick form to gather your trip details, budget, travel style, and preferences.

  2. Planning Fee & Package Selection
I’ll recommend a planning package that fits the level of support you want—whether it’s just hotel help or full itinerary curation.

  3. Consultation Call
Once the package is set, we’ll hop on a call to talk through everything, if needed—must-haves, preferences, and your dream trip vision.

  4. Custom Proposal
I’ll then build a personalized proposal with hotel options, transportation, activities, restaurants, spa bookings—whatever is included in your package.

  5. Revisions
We’ll go back and forth on the proposal until it’s perfect.

  6. Booking
Once approved, I’ll book everything on your behalf using your credit card via a secure, encrypted portal.

  7. Final Documents
You’ll receive a final itinerary with all confirmations, tips, and notes to make your trip seamless. Your itinerary will be delivered in an interactive app which makes it easy to reference while travelling and also share with loved ones. The itinerary automatically updates and alerts you if there are any changes (i.e. flight delays). Check out an example here: Sample Proposal

  8. On-the-Ground Support
For clients in higher-tier packages, I offer support while you’re traveling in case anything needs adjusting.

Working with a travel advisor is about making your life easier—and your travel better. You get personalized support, insider perks, and a travel experience designed around you.
